We have a wonderful group of parents, guardians and teachers, who generously volunteer their time and talents throughout the school year.  It is their helping hands that make all our events, activities, fundraisers, etc., successful. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our school, and in turn, our kids. If you would like to help out, we welcome you with open and appreciative hearts!

Volunteering at Catoctin generally falls into one of the following categories:
  • Classroom / Instructional Help
    •  lending a hand in the classroom environment with the students.  This would include reading book, helping with regular programs like 'Sunshine Math' or  'AIMS', Computer Room Helper etc.
  • General School Support
    • lending a hand in support of the teachers and school, but without directly teaching.  This would include photocopying for teachers, stuffing Tuesday folders, helping transport students to-and-from the photographer during picture day or the dentist
  • Extra-Curricular Events
    • Lending a hand to coordinate and/or volunteer at one of the many great events held each year at the school.  This would include the Ice Cream Social, Harvest Festival etc.
  • PTA Organizational Support
    • Lending a hand to support the PTA.  This would include coordinating the after-school programs, helping organize the fundraising efforts, and helping with PTA efforts like Staff Appreciation Week.
